FAQ

We want you to feel in control of your treatment and know exactly what to expect. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to get in contact via e-mail.

For now we've put some answers to common question below to help keep you fully informed.

  • How long will I have to wait for an appointment?
Early access to Physiotherapy can be essential. We aim to reply to all correspondence within 24 and aim to offer initial assessments within one week of making contact.
  • How will I know how many sessions are required?
Our primary aim as Physiotherapists is self-management wherever possible. We aim to educate, empower & facilitate back to full function as quickly as possible. We typically don't make recommendations for multiple sessions in one go. Based on the results of your assessment we will be able to give you an idea of recovery times and treatment recommendations on the day. Continuing with treatment is completey governed by you and if you have any concerns please speak to your Physio about them directly.
  • What if I've been told previously that Physiotherapy can't help?
Pain is a very personal thing. Often traditional methods focus on certain aspects of pain & potentially don't view the wider picture. Chronic pain (pain felt for more than 6 months) is something i have a special interest in. I believe that pain has far reaching effects and that a person must be assessed holistically to facilitate their recovery. Read more about my feelings on pain via our BLOG here If you've been told that Physio isn't for you in the past we actively encourage you to give us a chance to assess you and see if we agree!
  • How do I pay for my session?
For one-off Home Visits we ask for payment on the day. We can accept cash, cheque or can provide details to arrange payment online. For Care Home patients or patients at home who require higher levels of intervention we will provide invoices at intervals decided by you or your family. Payment can then be arranged via cheque or online bank transfer.
